Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse, January 20-12
Late on the 20th, Earth's dark shadow will creep over the full wolf moon, turning the silvery orb blood red during the year’s only total lunar eclipse. By cosmic coincidence, this full moon will also be especially close to Earth that night, making it a so-called supermoon.

A Wild Life - photographer and filmmaker Bertie Gregory:
"I was photographing in a city park in Vancouver, Canada, when a pair of raccoons made their way over to investigate my camera. Shortly after taking this image, the raccoon on the right slobbered snot all over the lens! So after cleaning the front element, the lens cloth went straight in the trash. To hear more about my adventures with urban wildlife, I hope you'll come see my talk, A Wild Life, Friday, January 25: Thousand Oaks, CA."
