Thanks to our great judges: Steve Roosa, William Hartshorn and Tom Paiva, and also to Al Ewing at the County, and especially, all our great volunteers who made this year's Print Competition such a great event.
Congratulations to Dwight Blemker, who took Best in Show with his "Egret in Flight."
All First, Second, Third and Merit winners are invited to display their images at City Hall. Details are forthcoming, but the exhibit is scheduled from July 31 thru Nov 29, 2013. Please begin the process of having your images framed soon!

Thanks to our very own Dusty Stiles for shooting and editing the video of the judging. There is so much to learn here just by listening to the judges comments, and to ultimately learn from them. Sometimes it's tough to hear about your photo that you swore was going to the ultimate winner, just to have it chopped to pieces right in front of your eyes, and you stare in disbelief when it receives a low score. From there it's time to roll up the sleeves and watch the judges videos that Dusty made, and really listen to the judges. Most of the time they are going to make sense ... and ultimately you become a better photographer ... which is what we all want right!
So spend some time watching these. It doesn't have to be your image. It could be any image you have strong emotions about.
