From the SCVPA Board

How about this rain?  Have you had enough, or are you totally enjoying the change in the weather.  Anyway The rain certainly creates some great photo ops, like Tuesday night’s lightning show.  And all indications are that this year should be a great wildflower season, so start making plans to get out and enjoy what nature is blooming this year.

Our annual print competition is rapidly approaching, with the judging date of May 4th, and images will need to be turned in during the April 10 - April 16, 2019 timeframe.  So with that in mind, Mel Carll will be taking about “Image Presentation” during our March 12th membership meeting.  As a PPC Certified Judge, Mel can help you navigate what the judges look for when judging an image.  He will also have a couple of images to show how, with a few minor tweaks, how you can take a so so image to a Merit image.  So if you have questions about image presentation, you won’t want to miss the meeting.

As for club trips, Dusty will be leading a group out to Anza Borrego March 15-17, 2019.  So if you are interested, please go onto the club website and signup.  If you have questions, Dusty will be available Tuesday night at the club meeting to answer your questions.  We hear the wildflowers are going to be amazing….

If you have any images you would like to share with the group, please forward the images to and we will be sure to share at the next meeting.

And if you are looking for a cool place to meet with like minded photographers, then we will see you at our meeting on Tuesday, March 12th.........

Keep Shooting my Friends!
