Watch Mercury travel in front of the sun.
Mercury Transit is already ongoing during sunrise in Los Angeles.
Since the Sun is near the horizon at sunrise, recommend going to a high point or finding an unobstructed area with free sight to East-southeast for the best view of the transit.
As full transit ends, watch out for the black drop effect, an optical illusion seemingly connecting Mercury's disc to the Sun's edge.
